is there a way to make online games in game maker 8? i know gm studio has networking or something like that. i wanna make some online games but no idea what program to use. construct 2 and 3 are designed only for tht con 3 is even an online game constructor but they suck so much, but you can try

in gms why did they even remove alot of the functions like splashing a video or image for example, or opening file dialog (i cant remember if thats included)

GDevelop is sort of like Clickteam Fusion or Construct 2 but open source and free.

One benefit to GDevelop is it's still being updated by the author. I'm not sure if anyone has done any work to Construct Classic since they released the source.

gdevelop at least claims linux support too though it's not great I think using it feels almost identical to using games factory back in the day

wtf happened to gms supporting ps4 games, or maybe i just didnt pay attention about it lately because i saw a while ago there was ps3/4 support

PS3/Vita is limited to 1.4. Not sure if this helps but I found this in their knowledge base about console licenses

gdevelop at least claims linux support too though it's not great I think using it feels almost identical to using games factory back in the day TGF, those were the days. It bugs me how Clickteam still advertises Games Factory but doesn't sell it

clickteam seems almost useless, i tried it a few times and i dont know how to make an object do functions clickteam fusion? if that one, then wow, it's a huge program, not sure what is the problem
