Hey in sunfishland, no games are bad! I once made a game maker game. I forgot the name. It was originally going to be some worlds hardest game clone, but after a lot of playing around , it turned into something decent. I decided to get creative with enemies too. One was a box that moved around like when you highlight click and move your mouse around the desktop. Another was a diagonal moving bouncing robot that sprayed fast bullets perpendicular to the wall they bounce on. Another shot bullets towards you if you were in proximity of a circular red light forcing you to constantly move. When you died, you would explode making a "MBOGHBGBGBGBPGPPHPBPGPH" (Explosion mouth sound). The boss had many unique abilities of spitting into clones, bouncing across the wall firing hundreds of bullets. The music was a combination of one of my oldest soundtracks and the boss made many sounds sampled from this source. I wish I still had it. I'm trying my hardest to preserve the xp Charles lent me from way back in highschool. If I find it Ill post it.

One time I wondered what would happen if you made the explosion sound try to play itself 500+ times when you died. First It sounded al little corrupted but then it turned into the computer making amplified metallic mic static and random moaning noises for 10 mins straight It was like "gggmmmm fff.mmm.ggff mm.mmMMMMmm..mmm.MMMM.fff.mmmmm.mmm.mmmm..mmMMM.fff" I couldnt stop it until it finished all of those thousands of repeats. My family and relatives meanwhile are confused out of their mind with the halls filling with the bizarre moaning noises. It was hilarious.

I'm now making a little kubus style game myself. But with my own style into it. I'm thinking of calling him Jerry. His special power is to fire explosive guts indefinitely out of his stomach and temporarily freeze to move in a free manner for a short time. I'm thinking of making a bunch of gimmicks like in the tutorial stage, your fighting message windows that shoot projectiles that not only hurt you but displays multiple messages on the controls of the game, slowly driving you insane. The objective is to escape the 13R clan or (-) before they hypnotize you into doing their dirty work of killing every video game designer who has ever lived.

or something idunno im drunkish tired and I suck at programming. also I dont thing the new game maker will let me do all those texture things that make kubus games so interesting.

working on a city exploration game in 3d graffics where you can fly. its inspired by sunfish in a few ways; im trying to make it full of lots of stuff, including drawings and weird other dimensions that u slip into as you wander around. ive been working on it for 3 months so far, so I feel confident atm that I could finish it i was also very inspired by Jinxtengu's summarizing sentence of the kubus manifesto "give your game excessive content" or something, so i'm trying to do that

I've been into that since 2013! Making games is awesome! I think i made around 17 games since 2016, here are some Junkman, a hand drawn 2d shooter-platformer in which you must collect all the beer on the level. this hand drawn game, where can I play?

So texturific I love how Kebabom's face twists and swirls when he dies thankyou friend. good work getting to that guy I think maybe you can do the textury things you speak of in some other editor like gimp. I like the idea of the game becoming a nuisance as you die more. I thought it would be fun to make a game where the more you die the more glitches that happen until it eventually becomes unplayable and you just have to give up. In One of Us, I liked all the things on the ground that looked like mussel shells
