graphviz is a nice program for making some graphs and stuff for designing puzzles and things in games. I have been using it on windows through another great program called cygwin which emulates a linux terminal kinda thingy

Also ibniz is a neat little gadget, but ya kinda gotta understand it a little to make it work. I'm over a year late, but someone on the Lainchan forum made a fixed version of the program Some problems they experienced: The file they edited to fix this was vm_slow.c and here is the fixed file

It's an esoteric, stack based programming language made specifically for audio and visuals. Basically it has all the normal functions of a programming language (at least with the patch) except all of them are connected to audio and visuals, single letter, and hard to decipher because of that.

Virtual Ans Virtual ans simulates some russian machine in the 60s that would convert images to a sound spectrum. It's useful in taking specific soundwaves from samples and making all kinds of cool sound effects. GOLLYGolly provides a helpful resource for most of your 2d cellular automata needs. ScalaThe main resource for creating files that load microtonal scales. rkill Most likely everyones heard of this. Stops yo virus processes 20% of the time (^ ^)--b

I wish it were available for linux though . How do you find these programs?

standard program cipher.exe - for wiping clean the "free" space on any internal/external drive, no need for ccleaner
there is a linux application called shred which lets you specifically delete and then overwrite a file which is handy for secrets.

github.com/dalygbarron/ratcommand line controller texture atlas creation software for if you need to join all your game pictures into one big pic so they can be drawn by a graphics card or something www.vim.orgA quite nice text editor. Obviously requires some effort sunk to learn it though. I would say after about 3 days of using it for all writing you will start feeling like you don't want to stop using it. Has some very cool text editing techniques I have not seen in other editors. for example, if you have a piece of text in quoation marks and you move the cursor inside the quotes and type ci" it will instantly delete everything in the quotes and let you begin typing replacement text. If you type >i{ inside a piece of code it will indent it with the matching {}. Type dap to delete the paragraph under the cursor. etc.etc. It also has a bunch of plugins but I would recommend you only install a fuzzy file finder and nothing or little else as they are a waste of time and make the prgoram more complicated and dumb.

Does anybody know about any typesetting software that uses a text format and is not LAteX? Latex is a heap of total garbage but it is still better than having to use microsoft word
