MS paint doodle between balancing commissions and homework. It's nice to come back to this forum when I need a little break

Aw damn, what a pain it must be, all this digitized education stuff... I consider myself very lucky, having bailed out of the university pyramid just in time before the grand collapse I keep believing that the true science and knowledge will survive no matter what, but with each day my faith dwindles... Somebody powerful is really determined to sink the whole ship with this scamdemic. There's already so much damage done, all for nothing but greed I just hope that you will find your success! There are still small windows of opportunity left here and there in the academic world.

Wow it's been a very long while :DDDD. I have focused more on my life and I have attempted progress vitally in this tough time, 2020 is a hard year but I think I am having a good time and I am taking it easy. My art has constantly evolved and devolved, and now it's stuck at a surreal-ish style. I use pictures of scenery I have taken myself as backgrounds because I don't feel fair using images from online. It gives it a more unique? Feeling kinda? And I am addicted to the 3D effect and noise filter. It feels really comfortable to draw like this and I am quite pleased with what my pieces have become.
Usually these past few months I've only drawn some small anime arts, but the one thing I've drawn most is art for a fellow surreal artist I am very interested in. They're really underrated and they're the same age as me. If you want to check them out, here's their YouTube to see videos from their ARG/series and their Gamejolt since they make little games too. I have recently become quite close to them and we draw stuff for each other all the time, so I will share some things I've made for them (In separate replies, because we can only attach 3 images per post)
Their character is a flower with half a missing face named Amy and I love them a lot they are quite neat I draw them with my current sona many many times The first picture above is the first drawing I've made for them. The second two are slightly more recent

Here are some more as promised. One of them is a 2 panel comic-like thing
The little scribbly lad and the eye girl are not my characters, they're part of Amy's ARG
Here I give them a new face!! !:DDDDD
I hope these posts aren't too spammy, I think I have to post just one more reply. I've indeed made quite a bit of stuff

And the final post for now, one last drawing I've made them (This is the most recent one) plus some things from them and from a friend
Drawing of our sonas feat. the sona of one of Amy's friends that I've met on Discord. We're an odd bunch
I love this so much dklhlkgf it's a drawing Amy made for me based on a thing my friend Axis drew of my alternate sona:
Tiny little flower dancing on the head of a Finnish leg person. Very cool& and nice

Cool characters and art style Eiichiyuu. I think that by taking your own photos and using them as backgrounds, it does add an extra layer, as opposed to using photos taken directly from the internet. Your work kinda reminds me of studio ghibli also I like how the last two images sorta look like game sprites.

Hey eiichiyuu, good to see you back ! Your drawings are so relaxing, and I agree with you that there's something surreal and mysterious in using the real photos as backgrounds for the drawn characters and objects. And I just think it's cute, it reminds me of short indie VNs and some anime from the 90s, and some Yume Nikki backgrounds. I remember using this technique in one of my games, namely Winter Collecting Game, and you can see that in some kubusian games too. I believe that photography is art, and an important component in many artistic creations. It's great to have someone to talk to during these chaotic times of deception and dehumanization. As long as there are true bonds existing between people, and as long as people continue to express their thoughts and feelings, the darkness cannot win!
