RGM V4 looks rad, the limitations might make it cool actually. Reminds me of how rpg maker was made to create rpgs but people found ways to make way more interesting exploratory stuff in it.

Zgame editor is a free game making software, and it's much underrated in my opinion. What game is this from?

Being on linux is not ideal for rapid game making, the only good tool I have found is called godot, and it seems to be ok, although it's aimed at both 3d and 2d, and it's like unity, which I find to be a bit of a mess. Thankfully it's good for coding games, and the Phaser javascript library is good, but coding isn't good for making quick weird games and you spend the whole time improving your programming ability instead of your game design ability. I really wish I could use game maker

Tried Babylon js the other day and it was Fucking shit, I would not recommend it for making anything more complex than a buggy walking simulator. If you want to do that though then it is quite easy.
Oh yeah Godot is also shit, coding is quicker and easier

The demos that it comes with seemed unimpressive to me at the time (street race and that 1945 rip off), I didn't realize that they're actually really poor examples of it's capabilities. A game like Iji by Daniel remar, now that shows off what you can do alot better (also that game is old now). Oh course you have to do some research into the GM language, but there are lots of forums and online information.

I haven't tried using either of those, what where the issues you found? Godot uses a system in which each thing in an object like collision detection and such is a seperate sub object and all of these sub objects are put together in heirachies. It sounds like it could be expressive or cool, but when you use it to try and quickly make a game it's more just really annoying and a pain to figure out how they're meant to go together and organise. So to be honest I was a bit harsh, I would recommend this to people on linux who don't want to code a whole game even despite disliking it. BabylonJS really is terrible in my opinion though. It is quite nice for making 3D worlds with just a bit of code, but trying to make things that act how you actually want to act and seems very difficult. At least if you use the built in movement you can make a character walk around kind of, although you have to hold them to the floor or they will fly away.

Hey there cool dude did u ever wanna draw but all the drawing programs are needlessly complicated and hard? did you resort to ms paint becuz all the other programs barely let you do simple things without 100 menus? well here we go baby theres a super cool program called LOGO MOTION that is basically like a steroided ms paint. it lets you do very basic things easily but also has all the necesarry tools one would need. not only that, but it also lets you create GIFs and lets you use the GIF frames as layers. heres a picture: the only problem with this program is that i never found a proper working ENGLISH version (only SLOVAK). but it is still quite intuitive and easy to work with so i recommend it regardless! here is a download link provided by me myself for anyone willing to tryy: puu.sh/vJt5Z.zipenjoy and have fun!!!

I use Flash CS5. I wanna learn Game Maker but I'm so lazy to learn another game making software. Unfortunately I may have to, since Flash is becoming more and more obsolete. Have you checked out the Haxe-based things? IIRC, several flash people jumped onto stuff like HaxeFlixel or OpenFL, saying something about them being similar to Flash. Still trying to blindly figure out Godot, most of the tutorials&docs don't help that much , and the allegedly good tutorials are steeped in Spanish or Portuguese.

It was such a weak virus when I got it. I almost pity it.

Yeah like 90% of learning the coding is this: *copy/paste stupidly simple code on enemys and projectile collision* "Wait whats that command called" 30 minutes of searching later STUDIO 2
I WANT THE 2 AFTER STUDIO, FUCKING GOOGLE!! *tries searching last month* *everythings in spanish* ok scrolling platformer time 2 days of flawed code later*copy/pastes tutorial code* *dosent work with current version* *game rots for eternity*
