sometimes I used to have a dream where I find a CD by a band I like and put it on, and it's full of songs that sound just like them but don't really exist, so I would wake up pissed I could not have figured out how to write songs like them in real life
Does anyone else have consistent locations in dreams? like i often dream in one of around 10 locations and i learned to explore them as dreams went by, in almost every dream i get chased by people so depending on the location i know where to hide or what to do. Some dream worlds serve as a hub for smaller ones like in the lsd game, if i go in one of the random apartments in my dream city i'll end up in one of 4 recurring apartments.
ps. coziest place in my dream city is a little chinese antiques shop ran by a cute girl, she can talk to me but i can't talk to her
I think the dream worlds structure in Yume Nikki and LSD: Dream Emulator games has at least some real foundations. But I guess some people see more of the recurring locations, and some have more randomness in their dreams. It might also work the opposite way: maybe these games themselves can help people get more control and navigation over their dreams, making that hub/nexus structure more prominent. Sounds pretty cool!
Yeah perhaps you are right. Maybe those games had an influence on it! I love dreaming, another interesting thing i thought of is that in my dreams i remember the locations, people and things that happened much better than i remember what i felt at the time but in real life i remember the feeling of reading a book or watching a movie much more than the plot of the movie/book, i think i just have bad memory lol
