Be whatever, do whatever, you're gonna die in the end. Nothing really matters when there's finality in your existence which is cool but fucking terrifying. I personally don't agree with this. How a person acts does matter because you aren’t the only person who exists or will exist in the future. Your actions will inadvertently affect others, and contribute to shape the course of the future, so for that reason I believe one should be mindful of others and how their actions will affect others. I think that "do unto others only as one would want done to oneself", is a good aphorism to live by. Im not a nihilist, my life is defined by the things which I consciously choose to give my life meaning and value, so for that reason I guess I would be classed as an existentialist. This is a circular argument Dany, just saying.

While I do think that people are protected from their own stupidity to an excessive degree, I don't really beleive this any more, which is probably lucky.
It's beside the point, but I do not quite see what is circular about it, though. It says that deserving to live stems from living, but I don't think it is also saying living stems from deserving to live.

It’s a circular argument because it begins with the premise which it’s trying to prove.
It’s like saying “Water is wet because it’s always wet”
Saying “deserving to live stems from living” is a self evident truth because something would have to be alive in the first place to deserve being alive. A statement such as “this toothbrush deserves to live” doesn’t make sense, although I appreciate it for it’s nonsensicality. I don’t see the purpose of judging wether a creature deserves to be alive, in my view all creatures deserve to live.
