Nice rant macabre. I recall you had a sauna in your little rpg you made. I have never haD a sauna before, they are more a thing in cold climates. The idea doesn't appeal to me, mainly because i don't like heat, but my thought would be, it serves more psychological and social function. hot temperatures counteract the effects of loneliness and isolation, there's scientific papers on that, that iv'e read.,excessive heat does cloud the mind however, which is why i prefer cold. when the body has inadequate cooling (which is basically over 50 degrees)the brain actually starts to die, the same doesn't happen with cold, even hypothermia, unless the brain literally freezes, in which case ice crystals damage the structure, but if you can freeze the brain without the formation of ice, it actually stays preserved and in a state of hibernation, which is why cryogenics could work in theory.
