Just recently discovered my old games site "Reha Soft" (http://geocities.ws/rehasoft) and am currently in the process of deleting a lot of the old pages and redoing them. But I'm seriously considering just making a new account since this one is getting out of hand.

I'd really like to build some new pages on my site but I still don't have access to the internet properly (using phone) sometimes a person or two suggests that I should re-do my site more "professionaly" but I don't see why. I like it.. and well, people still visit it. Not having the Internet's kinda good though because I can work without getting distracted. I'm trying to keep costs down also, and internet access has a monthly fee associated.

I think what they mean by "professional" is that they want you to put every webpage displayed under a tab and boundary layout like more conventional sites do. I personally like your layout as it reminds me of old webpages from the early 2000s. The only thing I think could be changed is maybe do like small categories if eventually the main page is too big and make the two different news pages one single news page to avoid confusion to people new to the site.

I keep thinking about starting a Neocities or a Geocities.ws page to rekindle my growing nostalgia for web 1.0. I signed up for Neocities but I haven't done a damn thing with it yet. I've noticed there is a huge lack of HTML editors these days. Seems the world at large lost interest in maintaining their own webpage.

Interesting article Dany. I don't have much to add to their point but the web has changed too much for me.
Web 2.0 ruined everything the internet stood for. Now the web is about as fun as filing tax forms. Nothing says personality like filling out forms.
INSERT NAME INSERT AGE HERE IS YOUR PROFILE HUMAN
In my opinion MySpace was a lot like GeoCities in the sense everyone strived for customization.
Then Facebook came about and made dumbfucks of us all. The experience now is so sterile, narcissistic and cookie cutter. I had to delete my Facebook years ago because it made me physically ill. I hated to see the worst of humanity represented on a platform where you can only "Like" something. I've had people unfriend me for frivolous reasons and the whole thing is an extension of our pettiness. Besides who wants to live a 24/7/365 high school reunion?
