I have quite a few dreams were I hear screaming, that sounds very real and extremely LOUD, and then I wake up. Last night i had a dream that my mind and perception of reality was disintegrating, my flesh was melting off, I was drowning and imprisoned in a cage that was on fire. i have quite alot of unsettling dreams.
I had a dream I was in kubus dimension once, I think it was Xonia though. I also regularly dream about my own worlds and characters.
I also like twice in my life achieved some kind of hyper sleep where I slept for about 20 minutes but had like 200 dreams, I only remember from the seond time it happened but it was a lot of interesting stuff. One of these was some kind of strange dimension, it felt very familiar, like I was there before I was born, there was a bench and some trees, I heard birds and rushing water, it was very calm. In another one, the whole dream was just a concept of a timeline. Like some kind of movie script where there would be time travel, but it wasnt the movie, just the concept of plot without anything actual in my head. The last one was of some bunny in a suit being pissed that I was dreaming so much so he stole the word "dream" from the dictionary so I couldnt do it anymore and I was chasing him.
How about death? Any of you died in your dreams or killed anybody?
It was really scary, but long ago as a child i had a dream that the kindergarten was taken over by bandits, they shot everybody and then killed me.
Once dreamed of a witch and a waterman (a mythical beast, pretty well known in my country as vodník) attacked me in my house when mom wasnt home, woke up sweaty. Also some mud creatury chasing me, woke up from it also. I also recently had one where I was murdering and torturing a house with a family, 2 children, it was a video game I was playing but it felt so real. They were begging and crying to stop but I wanted to keep going for some reason.
Had a looot of weird dreams just tonight by some accident. In one, I was at a toilet looking out the window and there was a series of skyscrapers layed across. Suddenly, three big objects fell from the sky (looked like weird bombs) and the most left building fell. I started recording with my phone because I was confused. Then the same happened to the skyscraper to the right of the first one. And so on and so on. They went in a pattern and when I realised the building I was in will be the last, it was too late. I wasnt sure if mine would end up the same and there was no way I could run out in time so I just recorded the ceiling, waiting for it to fall on me. Woke up from the shock. In one dream, one of my favorite music bands that also release other weird stuff like software and images made a series of games. They were simple text games with black and white images accompanying some decisions. In the dream I skimmed through the titles (there were three) and saw that they also released another 3 games, these were a series of adventure games. They took inside a small house in the middle of the desert. The graphics were pencil drawings with crayon coloring (very much like The Strange and Somewhat Sinister Tale, if anyone played that). They were sort of creepy. I remember two of three. In one, it was a series of very basic puzzles (unscrew the ventilation shaft, get key to open door...) but they were intricately designed to deliberately piss you off and not work in various ways. I dont remember much how, just stupid shit like the screwdriver having glue on it and you wouldnt see it unless you examine it three times and if you try to unscrew the ventilation shaft, it gets stuck, etc. The other one was the most interesting. I remember only one segment. There is a guy in a room with a computer watching stuff and as you solve puzzles and go in and out, you would notice the guy watching a broadcast on some sort of roach virus that brainwashes the infected. As you keep going and talk to the guy, he slowly starts giving shorter answers. Then at some point, he turns himself to you and his head (previously normal) is a roach head and he only does those insect sounds. Good stuff.
One dream I had took place in high school. In this one, I was wandering my schools for whatever reason when I came across a room with a weird lighting around the door. Curious I went inside and was met with an abomination of a bathroom. The bathroom was very small, had nothing but toilets, and most notably the walls were graffitied so much that they formed a texture of strips and splotches of color. The texture of the wall created a strange sense of fear being inside the room and I felt as if the room was closing in on me. (I do not have claustrophobia) I seemed to struggle getting myself out of the door. I then tried to revisit the place, but creepily, I couldn't find the room in the spot it was before. The painting above is what my best attempt at recreating what texture of the walls looked like.
I have a journal also, but I consider most of my dreams unworthy of remembering so it is sort of empty. I do remember having continous dreams, mostly meeting a character from various dreams or me remembering a dream I had in another dream and acting differently because of it, stuff like that. I dont remember a single instance of it happening however, I only remember those properly in dreams.
Also, did you guys ever fall in love with someone in a dream? Several times during my life I think my subconcious showed me my dream girl and we fell in love. I often cried after waking up because it wasnt real.
As a kid I had a very difficult time going to sleep every night so my parents decided to play music through headphones to help me. The playlist was composed a wide range of classic music with a relaxing tone. The music had a wide variety, to experimental, ambient and lots of Nancy Griffith. One night, I was either very tired or sick when the headphones played Rebel Rouser, by Duane Eddy. The song features a 2/4 beat of a clean guitar riff continuously playing one semitone higher with a loud saxophone playing in the background. The tune for some reason sounded a little strange. I remember thinking the saxophone of the song were some form ofunknown bird noises in the background. It almost passed off as a modified version of that german chicken song. I started to dream this setting where these strange birds were synchronously marching and singing to the song. They had a duck-like head with a wide square-shaped bill, an ostrich-like body and they bobbed their head forward while marching. Every time the saxophone played the birds would raise their heads and sing in front of a flashy, randomly-splotched background and then would cut back to the marching. I was fascinated by these bird creatures and always thought of them as friendly and kind beings despite their intimidating appearance. I searched for a direct associate to a real life bird, but strangely found out the creatures are a mashup of several bird features.
I decided to give them the name: "Rebel Birds." Heres what they looked like. Now you know what these birds came from.
I Dreampt I was in a room with green felt on the floor and it was like ancient Egypt and there was a gold statue of an animal or something and looking at it made me sexually aroused. Also outside the room was the ocean I had a boat but we crashed into the rocks
Anybody dream of secret passageways. I LOVE secret passageway dreams.
Oh yeah, I've had a handful of dreams of me climbing down the secret basement that was inside the basement in my family's previous house. The 'secret passageway' was more or less a tiny corner with the door covered with gravel and dust. That room typically just housed an old storage for a cassette deck and MiniDV tapes. The whole basement (including the secret 'room') had shelves. The shelves always varied in what was in them, either it be apricot wine that was 'over-fermented' (or whatever it's called) for over a decade stocked in gigantic glass containers, or packets of pennies rolled in leaves. Another time was when the floor of the entire basement was literally filled up with wood dust from the wooden projects my father made were rotting away from age, humidity, and the termites eating it up. The floor had layers upon layers of sawdust that hadn't been cleaned up for years.
One of my earliest dreams was when 3D scanned model of a specific Bible translation was rotating on a circular disc in a Blender animation. After a couple minutes the bible started floating off of the disc, but just then floated in the same spot and kept on rotating until I no longer remember the rest.
