Touhou series are independent Bullet hell games like the games by Cave that nolovoto was talking about, so it's like a shoot em up kinda game but with a whole lot more bullets in patterns on the screen and you can't let them get you pretty much at all. The touhou ones tend to be a bit slower than others, and have more focus on navigating through complicated patterns of bullets. All the games have some kind of story line, and you play as a human instead of a space ship which I personally like, although it has a very big fanbase of people who just like the characters because they look like anime I once played a version of the games on the mac. It was very glitchy. 6 was laggy as shit, 7 would have the fps limiter glitch out and make the game move at 1000 mph 8 would crash the mac like no other program I've seen with a mac. The rest flat out didn't work. At that point I would usually get to stage 5 on hard. CAVE games however I can't even get past stage 3 . I would reccomend playing them on mame. They are one of the funnest games I've played. I miss my cave games. Fuck you 360 with your red rings

I grew up playing a lot of Nintendo titles. At around 2008-2010, my first game ever was New. Super Mario Bros for DS. One of the first computer games I played were Putt-Putt Enters the Race, Math Blaster Episode 2: Race for the Omega Trophy, Backyard Baseball 2001, The Incredible Machine: Contraptions and Marble Blaster 3D. I mainly played on DS, GameCube, Wii, and GameBoy. Most of the games I played on those consoles were Tony Hawk Downhill Jam, Guitar Hero 3, Ed, Edd n Eddy Mis-Edventures, Kirby (Airride, Canvas Curse, Super-Star Ultra), Mario Kart Double Dash, Nintendogz, Theme Park by EA, Drawn to Life Spongebob Edition, Bit . Trip Beat, Core, Void, Runner, Fate, and Flux, 3D Pixel Racing, MX vs ATV: Untamed, Motorbike Maniacs Advanced, Battlebots (i only listened to the main menu music for that one), Spongebob: The Kreature from the Krusty Krab. I remember playing Club Penguin when there was the little blue walkie talkie handheld in the HUD, and I played most of the games in the arcade, some of them being 4 across (i forget the original name), Thin Ice, and the PSA Missions (mainly episode 2). Also, I would keep forgetting to feed my puffles and I actually got a real life puffle plush and Card-Jitsu playing cards, most of my toys and games are now just scattered across my house. In 2011, on my grandma's old Windows XP laptop, I had this one application/virus that was called iBarioApps, and I remember playing a lot of flash games on that application, which I found one of my favorite flash games called Duck and Hover. I also had Bejeweled Blitz, and whenever I got an instant replay, I would just yell "GRANDMA! I GOT AN INSTANT REPLAY!!1" or something like that. I recently rebought it on Steam, and I also lost the disc for it back then. Through 2009-2011, I played a lot of Plug and Play games as well, I had, Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man, Fantastic Four, Spongebob, and Atari 2600. On there, I played Dig-Dug, Rally-X (WHICH I HAVENT SEEN THAT GAME IN FOREEEEEEEVVVVVVEEEEEEERRRRR), Galaga/Galaxia or whatever, Pole Position, Adventure (atari), Pong, Asteroids, Gravitar, Missile-Command, Yars Revenge, Circus Atari, and Big Pac-Man or that one you play where the green powerup makes you large.

I remember back when it was new and no child cared. The game actually had atmosphere back then. You felt more like you actually want to play it. I'll admit that I actually really like the game.

Favorite game of all time is probably Quake 1. Fun both in SP and MP. Spent an unhealthy amount of time playing and trying to learn mapping. Wish it were still active.

Xonotic is easily one my favorites for a few years now. Even if I miss a whole stretches of activity, returning to the game is always an absolute blast. Even when ping and latency reaches into the 200+ ms realm, blasting others in wide space hasn't gotten old yet. Shame about the shaky population, not even the newer servers are able to sustain activity for longer than several hours like they used to. The server population can be fixed with the pickup IRC channel(s) for the game, but I'm not so hot on IRC. In quick gameplay terms, its like a more refined Quake 3 CPMA with different weapons (that also include alt-fire mechanics like Unreal Tournament). Plus it's free (as in free beer and source code)
